Where do you get the money for this program? Remember, money is a universal motivator. Rather than paying a third-party payer (an insurance company) for the employee's heath care, the money will now come from a self-funded insurance program. When major claims are made—such as those requiring hospitalization—the employer's “stop-loss” insurance kicks in to cover the costs above the established limits.
